CARDSource

Great-looking cards start with great artwork!

Follow these guidelines so your design prints as intended and your order moves through production without delays.

Accepted file types

We accept PDF, JPG, PNG, TIFF, SVG, AI, and PSD files. PDFs are preferred for the best print results.

What happens after you upload

The next step depends on your file type:

  • PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or SVG: You'll see a preview right away. Review and approve your proof online, finalize your card details, and check out.
  • AI (Illustrator) or PSD (Photoshop): Your artwork will appear on the page, but online approval isn't available. Finalize your card details and check out, and we'll email you a proof to approve before printing.
Only have artwork for the front, but still need the back?

Go back and select "Design My Own," then upload your front image as the background and design the back from there.

Need a template?

Go back to the product page to download an Illustrator or PDF template.

Cut Size: Final trimmed size: 3.375" x 2.125"
This will be the final size of your card. Slight movement during cutting is normal, so keep important information away from this line.

Bleed Area: 0.125" outside the cut trim area.
Background colors, photos, patterns, or other artwork that reach the edge of the card should extend past the trim line into the bleed. This prevents an unwanted white edge after trimming.

Safe Area: 0.125" inside the cut trim area.
Keep logos, text, barcodes, QR codes, and other critical elements comfortably inside the safe area.

Resolution: 300 dpi or higher

Color: We print in CMYK. RGB and Pantone colors are converted automatically, so bright colors may shift slightly. Screens also vary, so printed colors may look a little different than they do on your monitor.
